image/Title - Teachers

Our Montessori teachers function as a designer of the environment, resource person, role model, demonstrator, record-keeper and meticulous observer of each child’s behavior and growth. Our teacher acts as a facilitator of learning. In this journey of self development, the teacher guides each child’s progress helping him to help himself. She is especially trained to observe, to respond to the needs of individual children and to direct the whole group. She is concerned with the total development of the child on all levels: physical, social, emotional and intellectual. The end goal is a child who develops a love for learning, self-esteem, motivation and respect for himself and others.

Each Classroom Is Directed By:

Transitioning

The habits and skills your child develops in our Montessori classroom will aid him to be successful for a lifetime. They will help him to work more efficiently, to observe more carefully and to concentrate more effectively, no matter where he goes. If he is in stimulating environment, whether at home or at school, his self-education-which is the only real education-will continue.

What Happens When A Child Leaves Montessori?

Montessori children are usually adaptable. They have learned to work independently and in groups. Since they have been encouraged to make decisions at an early age, these children are problem solvers who can make choices and manage their time well.

They have also been encouraged to exchange ideas and discuss their work freely with others and good communication skills ease the way in new settings. Research has shown that the best predictor of future success is a sense of self-esteem. Montessori programs, based on self-directed, non-competitive activities, help children develop good self images and the confidences to face challenges with optimism.

To further ensure the safety of your child, all staff members are required to undergo a Criminal History background check and must be cleared by Child Protective Services. In addition, staff members must successfully complete Tuberculosis screening ensuring that all staff members are free and clear of communicable diseases.
